Yes to all those things you list, which make Victoria a brilliant villain.

But I think you've forgotten one: She's complex, which makes her not only a good plot device, but also challenging and interesting to write.

Yes, she was cold blooded when she shot Dief and Jolly and tried to destroy Fraser. But if she's well written, she also does have feelings for Fraser, she can be insecure, she has depths. A villain who's nothing but cold and evil is boring, but Victoria can be written in many ways - insane, torn apart, pitiable, bitter... whichever path one choses to follow.

thanks for the reminder..

i can see why i've stayed away from the stories where it's easy for the reader to sympathize with her -- because adding Fraser's broken pieces to hers is like .. double woobicide.. makes romeo and juliette look like starsky + hutch.. X(

oh yes! she is totally delicious in the hands of good writers, which this lucky fandom has in abundance :D
